PINC (Psychological Interventions in Nursing and Community) is a service designed to support and enhance the psychological care of individuals with long term conditions in Newbury West Berkshire.

PINC seeks to target individuals with COPD, heart failure and other long term conditions with associated anxiety, depression or over dependency on health care workers.


The post holder will work independently according to a plan agreed with the specialist Clinical Psychologist and within the overall framework of the service's policy and procedures.

The post holder will work with individuals using psychological approaches offering up to 12 sessions in an individuals own home (or by telephone/online if home visits are not possible).

You will be based within our friendly team in Newbury. There will be times when you need to attend team training and events across the Trust.


We have an excellent preceptorship programme for our staff, allowing them to have a clear progression plan and develop their career with us.


Work base:

Based in Newbury, this is a community role visiting clients in their own homes within the West Berkshire locality.

There is free staff parking at the main site.
