Press Setter / Brake Press Setter

The Best Connection Group LTD are currently recruiting for a experienced press setter to work with our prestigious manufacturing client in the Aston area.

You will be directly reporting to the Press Shop Supervisor and its vital you can quickly develop an in-depth understanding of the processes and job requirements to ensure you are effectively assisting in all operations, with support of the Press Shop Supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform the accurate setting of presses, ensuring optimum speeds are maintained ensuring the safety of operatives and tooling.
Setting up 10ton 300ton presses, for setting progression tools.
To operate presses following processes set by the company whilst maintaining the required level of output at all times.
Operating all lifting equipment available to ensure the safe movement of equipment, tools and materials to various locations of the workshop.
To check components, before/during and after production runs, using the appropriate inspection equipment/gauges.
To read technical drawings (press tool and components).
Work within the quality control and process measures for every stage of production, completing all necessary documentations as required.
Ensure all tools, materials and equipment are stored in their correct location.
Maintain a clean and tidy working environment, follow 5s housekeeping.
Ensure all levels of PPE and quality standards are followed and adhered too.
Accurately complete any paperwork required to ensure efficiency in the press shop.
Follow and monitor health under the health and safety at work regulation.
There may be other requirements you are asked to perform not mentioned, these requirements will be requested from your supervisor and will be within your capabilities to perform.
You will need to have experience working as a press setter.
