Our client is currently looking for a Business Development Manager to join our busy team working around Birmingham

Reporting to the Sales Director you will support the business by proactively generating new business sales opportunities. You will be generating new clients and revenue through direct sales activity and networking.

You will be self-motivated to work in anew business, driven and able to interact with people from all types of organisations.

You will come with proven negotiation and closing skills and be confident at communicating and selling the benefits of their business.


Location:
Field-based around Birmingham.

_You will be required to attend 1 week of training in the Bradford Office (BD4), then will be required to go to the Office once per month.

Salary:
circa £45-£50,000 plus OTE depending on experience (Plus car and milage allowance)


Business Development Manager Duties:


  • Sitting and closing appointments either face to face or over the phone/video.

These will be made by:

  • Cold calling and generating your own leads.
  • Using your own networks and contacts to generate appointments
  • Sitting appointments generated by their BSE's
  • Carrying out thorough fact finds, ensuring quality leads.
  • Networking and attending relevant events.
  • Ensuring the systems and associated administration is kept up to date.
  • Proactively suggesting improvements to drive results.
  • Building relationships with clients, other BDM's, BSE's and the internal team.
  • Negotiating and managing objections to secure sales.
  • Working on your professional development through 1:1's, training & feedback.

Business Development Manager Requirements:


  • Minimum of 45 years of sales and outbound lead generation experience.
  • 45 years of sales experience in a similar role and environment.
  • Experience in the Insurance, Recruitment and FinTech industries is desirable.
  • Valid driver's license and car to attend events as required (expenses paid).
  • An understanding and knowledge of the outsourced business services industry or similar.
  • High standard of written and verbal communication.
  • Excellent attention to detail and great customer service skills.
  • Be someone who enjoys selling and is selfmotivated.
  • Have a confident and outgoing approach to work.
  • Be willing to build a sales pipeline from scratch and understand that results will take between 68 months.
  • Own network and ability to develop one for our industry.
