Your new role:


The Internal Auditor will undertake risk based Audits on projects and within departments throughout the Robertson Group Businesses in order to provide confidence to the Group Directorate that reporting and operations are accurate, complete, and realistic.

Experience of audits in a Facilities Management contract environment is preferable.


What you'll do

:


  • Assist the Internal Audit Manager in developing and maintaining a realistic forward audit programme plus other duties as might arise.
  • Seek agreement with each Business on the forward rolling audit programme and audit frequency considering all aspects relating to each active project including lifecycle stage, programme duration, current commercial performance, and project specific risks.
  • Liaise with the relevant teams in each Business to arrange Audits in line with the agreed audit programme.
  • Carry out project Audits in line with the agreed audit programme considering current and forecast performance and any other project specific risks and opportunities which may impact on the commercial outcome.
  • Carry out follow up Audits where matters of a complex nature are identified at initial Audit which may impact on the outcome in the longer term.
  • Undertake bespoke project Audits where required outside of the audit programme.
  • Through effective Audit verify the level of compliance with current Group Policy, Procedure and Process.
  • Contribute to and assist with the ongoing development of the audit process, routines and documentation.
  • Highlight areas for improvement and identify scope gaps within the existing Robertson Management System where Audits indicate shortcomings in current standards.

What you'll need

:


Prior audit experience is preferable with proven commercial or financial experience within a facilities management organisation along with an Internal Audit or Financial Qualification.

You'll have the ability to work independently and take responsibility for own work an be analytical with problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must along withe xcellent presentation skills and IT proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
