The Role
We are looking for a Head of Finance, to lead our Accounting & Finance function.

As we transition from a start up to a scale up, the Directors are seeking to establish an internal Finance function and hand over complete oversight of all Finance and Accounting requirements to a new Finance lead.

As our first internal Finance Hire, you will take responsibility for all Finance and bookkeeping functions, currently owned by the Founders and an external Accountancy firm.

You will lead Finance for Northern Ireland's fastest growing Fintech, currently processing £3M+ ARR and growing fast.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Build and take ownership for the Finance infrastructure, ensuring all processes and controls are scalable.
Manage day to day bookkeeping activities & Payroll administration.
Preparation of consolidated monthly management accounts and ensure an efficient month end close.
Statutory reporting and tax work.
Support the Sales & Marketing leadership on commercial initiatives, including Revenue modelling.
Work with the Directors on Strategic planning & forecasting.
KPI work, including producing and analysing metrics such as ARR/MRR/CHURN/CAC/LTV.
In time, recruit and develop a finance team.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, processes and working practices, including those on Data Protection, Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety, in every aspect of your work.

Essential Criteria

Qualified accountant
Previous Commercial Experience leading and developing a Finance Function including people management.
Experience managing multicountry customers.
Experience with R&D and other Finance incentive claims.
Proven track record of delivering against KPIs and financial reporting requirements.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of the Leadership team and with all stakeholders across the business.

Desirable Criteria

Previous experience working in the Fintech or general Tech sectors.
Previous M&A experience.
