The Internal Communications team plays a key role in supporting the achievement of the University's strategic priorities and continued success.

This role will focus on supporting and delivering the internal comms and engagement strategy within our Communications and Marketing Directorate.


You will work hand in hand with the Internal Communications team to help communicate with our 12,000+ colleague community and support the effective delivery of our channel strategy and business improvement projects.

You will also help to create an innovative approach to our activity, being responsible for some of the design and co-delivery of a variety of multi-channel communications to engage with staff across a range of projects.

You will build close relationships with stakeholders across the directorate to ensure a proactive joined-up approach to all our University-wide communications activity.


You will have a passion for copywriting and an understanding of writing for different audiences, working regularly to create accessible and engaging content for all our community across our different channels.

With a fresh innovative approach, you will be keen to support your colleagues to create and deliver their messages through smart and effective activity.

You should have the ability to lead in both digital and traditional communication channels for effective promotion, engagement and buy in.
