An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Research and Development department for a Clinical Research Practitioner (CRP).


This new role will work with research nurses, health care providers and Principal Investigators to deliver clinical trials across specialities within the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust sites.

The post holder will be required to be flexible and confident in working in multidisciplinary research teams to assist medical and allied healthcare professionals to provide greater choice to patients through participation in research trials.


The role will involve setting up studies, recruiting participants into clinical trials, overseeing their care in accordance with the clinical trial protocol and ensuring the safety of the participant: escalating appropriately any concerns during the clinical trial.

Ideally you will be a registered CRP or working towards CRP registration with experience working in research.

You will have the confidence and competence to work with the clinical team to develop this role to meet the needs of the service.

You will be committed to promoting research as a core service in the NHS.

Specialist knowledge in cardiology, respiratory and ICCU research would be highly advantageous.
