At Swan we have a dedicated Care and Specialist Accommodation department which is made up of three key areas. These are Supported Housing, Home Care Services and Key Worker Living. We offer a variety of homes, schemes, services and accommodations to suit our customer's needs.

As a Guest Services Assistant you will work as part of a small, friendly team covering our Keyworker Living Sites at Broomfield & Colchester.

We are looking for competent, enthusiastic and flexible individuals who possess the skills to provide excellent customer service, whilst carrying out a range of housekeeping and property servicing duties.


This role will involve but not be limited to:

  • Support the Team Leader to create and maintain a welcoming, supportive atmosphere at all locations
  • Cleaning of vacant properties and all communal areas of the premises
  • Listen attentively to customers and resolve any issues or needs they may have by liaising with the appropriate department/ team to get resolutions
  • Ensure that all premises are safe and clean and report any health and safety concerns promptly
  • To assist in the ordering, distribution, storage and use of materials and equipment, ensuring Health and Safety legislation is observed and ensuring that staff has adequate supplies to carry out their duties

You should have/be:


  • Excellent customer service
  • IT literate
  • The ability to work effectively in a quick and busy environment
  • Comfortable and able to carry out manual handling tasks
  • Able to build and maintain good working relationships with staff, residents and customers
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation would be an advantage
The sites consists of approx. 500 units of accommodation consisting of shared rooms and individual flats.

The working hours for this role are 36 per week. Monday - Thursday 9:00 - 17:15 and Friday 9:00 - 17:00.
