  • RATP Dev London is one of the largest bus operators in London, running 1,129 buses form 10 operational bases, carrying some 250 million customers every year safely to their destinations_.
With key organisational projects we are now looking for HR Advisors to strengthen the team and support managers across the business through and extremely fast paced, full on 2021 and beyond

Naturally the main top line duty of the job is to provide a generalist HR advisory service to the business, where you will need to build effective working relationships with managers.

To achieve this however, you will need to deal with ER matters including discipline, grievance, performance management and absence management, all requiring comprehensive and pragmatic advice.

As we have been extremely successful in winning new routes, you will be supporting also on TUPE activity, organisational restructures and time critical HR projects, whilst working on policy updates and support for the HRBP and Head of HR.

Its important that as a team we also build positive industrial relations (IR), this may include attending company or garage level trade union meetings.

This isn't going to be a slow paced year for HR and flexibility to deliver HR support to the garage directly, will mean travelling between garages.

So what are we looking for experience wise for these roles?

You will have sound knowledge and experience of advising on people issues, have a solid understanding of employment law, coupled with a background in HR.

This could be as an Advisor or Assistant ready for the next move to a larger organisation or different sector.

The preference would be Level 3 part of fully CIPD qualified (or equivalent work experience with evidence of continuous professional development).

After initial probation, we would be very happy to look at supporting level 5/7 if you wished to develop further.

To achieve everything that needs to be delivered, you will have great relationship building skills, be pragmatic, and be able to assess business risks in relation to HR issues.

It's essential you are able to work with ambiguity in day to day activities and be able to enjoy and adapt to change.

Flexibility is essential as although you will be based at our Fulwell Garage, movement around any of our 10 sites to support the business will be extremely frequent.
