Description

The Medicine Governance Support Officer will work as a supportive member of the Medicine Directorate Governance Team, to support and deliver a range of quality governance activities at Directorate level and within individual service groups, to ensure compliance with the Trusts governance and risk framework.

This includes working closely with the Medicine Governance Coordinator to promote and support the wider governance and patient safety agenda.


As a governance support officer, the post holder will have a pivotal role in supporting the Governance Coordinator lead in the promotion and improvement of governance activities within the Directorate, including the management of ongoing incidents, complaints, supporting CQC preparation, promotion of Patient Safety Strategy activities and ensuring learning from incidents takes place and is evidenced.


The post holder will also include an administrative element to support the management of Directorate governance meetings, production of comprehensive directorate governance reports and meetings to support the incident management process, including serious incident investigations and activities as part of the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF).
