£20,129 to £21,879 pro rata

About the role
We are seeking two Security Receptionists to join us at Daresbury Laboratory.
The role will see you act as the first point of contact for staff, tenants, campus members, contractors and visitors, both face-to-face and by phone.
You will provide a high level of customer service. Liaise with the client and building tenants.Produce visitor passes on the EasyLobby system, operate the switchboard and other electronic media as well as programming the door access cards (KABA System).Ensure visitors complete the required site inductions.
Further responsibilities include:
To deliver professional reception administrative services to the Daresbury Laboratory Security and Reception Service.
The post holder will respond to operational needs and provide a flexible professional administrative support services to ensure that day-to-day tasks and functions are attended to.
The role supports a diverse range of customer-facing functions, enabling STFC to deliver reception services efficiently, and to a high standard to staff, visitors, tenants, and collaborators at Daresbury Laboratory.
To act as first point of contact with customers via all means of communication and deliver a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet all visitors to Daresbury Laboratory Reception and contact their host to inform them of their arrival.
- Operate and maintain the CCURE card access system in relation to the issuing of passes.
- Issuing the appropriate passes, giving instructions and contacting host for collection of visitor.
- Check daily handover notes from job share colleague and action/update as required.
- Switchboard duties directing external and internal enquiries and fielding of any inappropriate calls (cold calls, etc.) providing a professional front line response.
- Support meetings and visits that are held on site by ensuring that all passes/parking permits and site maps are issued accordingly.
About you
Essential:
- A good standard of education
- Previous experience as a receptionist/concierge within a professional environment
- Proficient user of IT systems, including an understanding of Microsoft Office, Word and Outlook
- Remaining calm under pressure, with the ability to manage/resolve difficult situations and customer concerns confidently.
