AV/ IT Support Technician, Audio, Visual, London, Onsite, 6 Month contract+, Inside IR35

Overview


We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable IT support technician with excellent working knowledge of audio-visual and IT equipment.

The post holder will be able to use their initiative to resolve technical AV and IT problems whiletaking resources and deadlines into account.

You will be well versed in providing IT support, including troubleshooting and repair tasks associated with all Audio-visual and IT technologies.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide user support for the available range of audiovisual (AV) and ICT equipment in teaching spaces, lecture rooms, and meeting rooms as per the requirement of the daily working schedules.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to understand and support technical requirements
  • Perform necessary maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks associated with all Audio Visual and IT technologies
  • Develop adequate user manuals and document any changes to default system configurations.
  • Evaluate operational requirements to repair and maintain audiovisual equipment and liaise with and support external teams engaged in such work.
  • Assist users with daytoday system problems, providing training and advice in the use of local systems and simple IT software
  • Maintain close formal and informal contact with the remote IT team, sharing expertise and information to ensure that developments are coordinated, and documented and that a coherent development and service environment is maintained.
  • Perform an events management function, managing all technical elements of any special events such as open days or company results announcements.
  • Assist with ensuring excellent customer service and maintaining an appropriate environment as befits a professional business space

  • Duration 6 months with possible extensions
  • Shifts between 08:00 and 21:00 5 days a week (including weekends)
  • 37.5 hour weeks
