About The Role:

Main Duties & Responsibilities of the Role

Inbound, receiving and location of materials and goods in a warehouse/hub.

Picking, inspecting, and packing products according to the order manifest.

Labelling boxes and packing them before despatch.

Stocking and restocking shelves in the warehouse for storage or distribution.

Processing, loading, and completing orders.

Managing order slips and placing orders in the correct delivery areas.

Using computer systems and scanners to manage order paperwork.

Operating equipment:
pallet jacks or forklifts to transport goods within a warehouse (full training given).

Tracking inventory in the warehouse to ensure stock accuracy.

Following Health & Safety best practices throughout all operations to prevent injury or accidents.

Coaching and mentoring other junior picker packers.

Ensure process is followed with attention to detail and accuracy.

Ensure flexible approach to deliver service levels across all sites to meets its contractual requirement.

Ensure as a representative of OCS you present yourself in a manner which reflects our high standard of service.

Develop good working practices and relationships to support staff. To include engagement, motivation, safety, and general welfare of the staff and products.


Collate and coordinate the information required for Soft Services Team Leaders, ensure the information is provided in a timely manner.

Enthusiastically support, actively promote, and demonstrate superior Customer Service in accordance with the department and company standards.

Be responsible and accountable for overall day to day operations of the Hub support & transport function.

Ensure that all comments/complaints are reported to the Soft Services Facilities Management team in a timely manner.

Attend training or meetings required by your line manager.

Ensure the Health, Safety and Welfare of yourself, colleagues, and products you encounter, in accordance with your training.

Develop and maintain effective working relationships with the Trust and colleagues, adhering to all current policies.

Complying with agreed work schedules and using appropriate methods of work, ensuring any service level agreement and quality standards are met in line with the Company and Trust policies

Cover or support all OCS business activities as requested by your line manager.


Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, participate in appropriate training activities and encourage and support staff training and development.


Work alongside HR & Training Manager to ensure any changes or developments which will enhance the staff development are met.
