OurChief Operating Officeris responsible for the successful delivery of clinical services keeping the day to day running of hospital services on track to provide the best, safe, quality care for our patients and their families.

You will shape and deliver strategy and change based on an unwavering commitment to performance and quality.


The post holder is a member of the Executive Team, sits as a member of the Executive Board and is a non-voting member of the Board of Directors.

Responsible for the successful delivery of clinical operations in the Trust and the day to day running of hospital services

Provide effective management and ensuring the delivery of effective patient centred care within budget

Contribute to the improvement of system wide health care through positive relationships with partner organisations including Calderdale Cares, Kirklees Health and Care Partnership, West Yorkshire Integrated Care System, West Yorkshire Association of Acute Trusts (WYAAT) and national agenda


Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust (CHFT) is an integrated Trust of 6,000+ colleagues providing hospital and community services on the edge of the glorious Pennines.


We are rated as 'Good' by the Care Quality Commission, are a top performing Trust for Emergency and Cancer Care and widely acknowledged as a national digital lead when it comes to caring for people across our local and regional systems.


Work is currently underway to create a brand new, purpose-built Emergency Department on our Huddersfield site, with the very latest digital and clinical technology.

In addition, we are currently hard at work on the expansion of services at our Halifax site to enhance patient experience, as well as provide a positive environment for colleagues.

Operational leadership and management of clinical services throughout the Divisions and operational services

Performance management and delivery of all national and local targets Implementation of the modernisation and re-design of clinical and business processes, and continuing review of Trust priorities

Trust lead for Emergency Planning, Health and Safety and Fire Safety
