We've got a fantastic opportunity for an experienced
Programme Manager to join our Transformation delivery team on a
fixed term basis for 18 months, with possible extension.

In this newly created role, you'll be working at the forefront of significant strategic and transformational business change projects.


Based from our head office in Basingstoke, we offer flexible hybrid-working that combines office-based and remote working to support a positive work / life balance.


What you'll be doing


Reporting into our Head of Change Delivery, you'll be accountable for the scoping, delivery and governance of large, complex Business Change programmes and portfolios, managing dependencies of varying complexity.

You will oversee the delivery of the sponsor'svision for the programme or portfolio, delivering outcomes that provide sustainable organisational growth, measurable business benefits and clear alignment to our business goals and strategies.


Responsibilities include:

  • Formulating, planning and monitoring the delivery of an interconnected programme or portfolio, made up of large, complex business process and technology changes.
  • Building, leading and managing cross functional programme and portfolio teams; ensuring clear roles, responsibilities and accountabilities within the team are established and delivered
  • Identification and forecasting of resources required to deliver the programme, ongoing demand and transition
  • Managing the overall relationship with the programme and portfolio sponsor, as well as other stakeholder groups, ensuring that Stakeholder management and communication strategies and plans are created and delivered
  • Being accountable for identifying and escalating programme/portfolio risks, issues and dependencies, as well as proposing solutions/mitigations to minimise risks and overcome identified issues
  • Developing the benefit management strategy on behalf on the Sponsor and relevant stakeholders from the affected business areas, as well as developing the benefits realisation plan in consultation with Finance leads
  • Line management of Project Managers within the programme or portfolio, including assurance of outputs and management of performance and development

What we need from you
You should have demonstrable experience in a similar role, working as a Programme Manager within a business change environment


We're also looking for:

  • A track record in Stakeholder management, with evidence of strong project and programme management experience
  • Experience of Transformation Programmes and Change delivery
  • Strong knowledge and experience of Benefit Management and Cost Benefit Modelling
  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to form effective relationships with multiple stakeholders at various levels
  • Critical thinking and problemsolving skills
  • Experience of leading, coaching and developing team members to create a high performing team
  • A qualification in Project or Programme management would be beneficial but is not essential
