THE ROLE


Hudson Procure delivers a wide range of tactical and strategic outsourced procurement consultancy services to both the private and public sector.

Due to continued growth, we are now looking to recruit up to 2 procurement consultants / senior procurement consultants with a track record of delivering innovative solutions within the public sector.

As one of our highly skilled Consultants, your role will be varied and rewarding.

You will be at the forefront of delivering forward thinking procurement solutions and play an active role in the strategic development of the wider team and our service offering.

Applicants must have access to their own transport as some travel may be required in delivery of the role.

The role will be delivered either from our offices in Bowburn, Durham, remotely or on a hybrid basis.


THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Delivery of outsourced procurement services including but not limited to;
- end to end procurement and tender management
- delivering strategic procurement reviews
- advising on and developing procurement policy & strategy
- providing procurement coaching & mentoring
- supporting & delivering contract negotiation and management
- strategic sourcing

  • Assisting in the development of new service offerings
  • Managing a portfolio of clients, maximising repeat business and progress reporting to this end
  • Report writing to include critical thought leadership, options appraisals, and recommendations
  • Assisting in the development and management of the Hudson Procure delivery team

THE EXPECTATIONS
You will ideally be able to evidence the following requirements:

  • Educated to degree level, or demonstration of equivalent procurement experience
  • MCIPS qualified, or part qualified, or the desire to pursue professional further qualification
  • Relevant procurement experience within the UK public sector marketplace, with a track record of delivering successful procurement solutions
  • Ability to think strategically and identify business critical issues
  • Ability to critically review quantitative and qualitative data
  • Ability to communicate effectively, proactively manage and lead projects, and deliver with confidence
  • Ability to present data, draft formal reports and set procurement policy
