Salary £21,968-£24,054 per annum | Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week | Cuerden Mill Depot, Bamber Bridge |

This an exciting opportunity to join the County Council's progressive Flood Risk Management Team.

The team acts as the Lead Local Flood Authority (LLFA) and has duties and powers under the Flood and Water Management Act 2010, Land Drainage Act 1991 and Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (England) Order 2015.


The post holder will have responsibility for a range of technical tasks to support the Flood Risk Management Team's statutory responsibilities and its communications with customers and partner organisations, principally in relation to sustainable drainage systems on developments and watercourse regulation.

This support will enable the team to work as efficiently and effectively as possible, and the post holder will be actively encouraged to propose and to make improvements in practices and procedures wherever opportunities are identified.

The post holder will also respond to enquiries from customers, stakeholders and developers and providing general advice internally and externally.
