Ledwood are looking to recruit a
Project Planner to be based in on-site in
Teesside.


The primary responsibility is to assist the Lead Planning Engineer with the volume of detailed Progress Reporting on the Teesside Improvement Project (TIP).


Your new position will involve:


  • Preparation of a detailed tiein progress tracker to manage tiein interfaces with existing plant and systems, keeping detailed track of prerequisite activities, such as Scaffold, Lagging Removal, Tagging etc.
  • Proactive detailed Progress Reporting on Piping & Mechanical Progress, involving close liaison and dialogue with the Ledwood Project construction team, verifying progress with regular site visits for progress mark up and verification.
  • Detailed Tracking of Sub-Contractor performance onsite in relation to Steel and Major Pipe Support installation and assisting with any prerequisites that are required such as PFP / Lagging Removals, Scaffolding etc.
  • Provide Planning and Progress Monitoring assistance at the appropriate point of the Project to convert from Area to System Planning and Progress Reporting.
  • Evaluate & record project progress against plan.
  • Assesses actual progress based onsite progress site assessment.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and ensure Workpack compliance in terms of meeting submission and approval dates for each Workpack.
  • Monitor progress (including subcontractors) against plans and schedules and report on status.
  • Liaise and interface with team members, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Support Quality and Health and Safety objectives
  • Work safely and adhere to Ledwood company policies and procedures and those of our client
  • Work as part of a team to successfully achieve the aims and objectives of the Project and Ledwood as a company.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a 'Can-Do' approach.
  • Proactively seek additional tasks where time permits.

Qualifications & Experience:


  • Thorough understanding of Engineering and Construction Industry namely within Oil & Gas.
  • Minimum of Five years' experience in a planning / scheduling capacity within the Petrochemical Industry with Brownfield Project or Turnaround experience.
  • Good Understanding of Incremental ROC (Rules of credit)
  • Educated to at least HNC Standard in Mechanical Engineering
  • Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project and MS Office
  • Particularly MS Excel.

Project Specifics
The position will be based onsite, starting ASAP through until approx. August 2023.


This role will be a direct report to the Lead Onsite Planning Engineer and your Line Manager will be the Project Manager.


Working Hours:

Initially up to 49 hours per week Monday to Friday, with the potential to increase to weekend working at a later date and to suit the project requirements.


Duration:
ASAP through until approx. August 2023.


Rate of Pay:
Depending on experience, this will be discussed with each applicant.
