The Role

Job Overview


As part of the UK HR team, you will lead on the delivery and deployment of the global talent and learning priorities for the UK, as well as any specific regional needs in collaboration with colleagues across a wide range of HR functions.

Working closely with global HR colleagues on the design & development of initiatives that drive the firm's global talent and learning strategy and roadmap.


Who you will work with


You will work closely with the HRD for the UK and HR teams including Diversity & Inclusion, Wellbeing, Early Talent Development, and particularly the HR Business Partners, as well as the Global Head of Talent Management, Global Head of Learning and Leadership Development, Global Head of Coaching and relevant business stakeholders.


What you will be responsible for


You will work with the Global Talent and Learning teams and our local UK HR team to help implement and deliver the talent, performance, learning and career elements of the firm's global people strategy, and deliver against regional needs in order to identify, develop, retain and accelerate talent across the firm.


You will also work with other teams across all parts of the employee experience to align activity to our shared culture and ways of working, and core value of inclusion for all.


What you will do
You will build strong collaborative relationships with the HR teams, particularly the HR Business Partners.

Here are some of the activities you can expect to be involved in which include, but are not limited to:


  • Talent and capability reviews: contribute to implementing talent and capability reviews for the UK. Looking at talent pools and capability to help inform the firm's global people plans now and for the future.
  • Partner performance: contribute to the delivery of the Partner performance review processes for the UK in line with Partner expectations.
  • People performance and assessment: contribute to the evolution of our firm wide approach to performance and lead the UK people performance process, aligned to the global approach. Help to build a culture of ongoing feedback and performance development across the firm.
  • Careers: contribute to embedding the firm's career frameworks and support the enablement of careers for both lawyers and business professionals.
  • Talent development: partnering with the Learning & Leadership Development Team and other HR teams as appropriate to create development interventions and solutions for those identified as talent in the UK, as well as prioritise nomination onto milestone development programmes and manage coaching, mentoring and sponsorship requests.
  • Learning: shape UK learning interventions to support specific needs in the region, working in collaboration with the global learning academy.
  • Talent technology: contribute to reviewing and implementing talent management and learning technologies (Workday, plus other forms of tech) in the UK, as part of firm wide implementation to improve and embed the wider talent agenda and create high quality employee experiences.
  • Data, reporting & insights: work with the relevant teams to measure the impact of each component of our talent management strategy and associated programmes and interventions, being able to readily analyse data for insights and reporting.

Qualifications:


Your Experience

Skills

  • SME: you will have business consulting skills, combined with strong execution and project management.
  • Stakeholder management: you will have effective and flexible relationshipbuilding skills with constituents at varying levels across a diverse international group.
  • Business acumen: you will have the ability to help drive longterm business and HR strategy, thinking in global terms and demonstrating strong business acumen.
  • Collaborative & growth mindset: you will be able to work successfully with key stakeholders to create joint expectations and deliverables; striving for positive results and engaging others in the journey.
  • DE&I: You are a champion for embedding diversity, equity and inclusion into talent management and development.
  • Data savvy: you will have the ability to analyse data and generate insights to inform progress and action.

Experience:


  • You will have a proven record of being involved in the design and implementation of talent management, performance, career and learning processes and initiatives for large multinational organisations.
  • Ideally, you will have experience of helping to design and deliver HR technology systems, processes and enablement of employees to support a talent agenda.
  • Experience of working in a matrixed / global environment is desirable.
  • You will have experience of partnering with and influencing management teams.

Qualifications:


  • Qualifications in Occupational psychology or HR would be an advantage but are not essential.
