Estimator - Facades and Re-cladding - Hybrid Working

About Company:


A Well-known London mid-sized Building Contractor, specialising in Build, Refurbishment and Maintenance projects, who have formed a specialist Cladding division, working in partnership with various housing associations on government funded re-cladding schemes and are currently thriving in that market, being one of London's busiest Re-cladding specialists, rectifying housing developments in and around the city with non-combustible / firesafe insulations and cladding systems.


About the Opportunity


My client has expanded their project portfolio for 2023 / 2024 with some impressive wins, ranging from complex recladding schemes acting as a main contractor and prestigious new build contracts acting as envelope contractor and are looking to expand their Pre-construction Team and are recruiting for an Estimator.

This role would suit somebody with the desire to achieve results by hard work and who is career motivated.

The working environment is very friendly and enjoyable to be a part of which is reflected in the remarkably low staff turnover.

Your role will include but not be limited to:


  • Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client
  • Assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies
  • Performing risk and value management and cost control
  • Advising on procurement strategy
  • Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks
  • Preparing and analysing costings for tenders
  • Allocating work to subcontractors

Requirements:

To be successful all applicants must have worked for a rival facade subcontractor in the UK. You must have a minimum of 3 years' within a similar role.

In addition to this, the business will only consider applicants that have façade experience including Curtain Walling Light-Weight Steel Framing Systems, Render, Brick Slips & External Wall Insulation Systems and Cladding.

You must be able to demonstrate the ability to work to programmes and deadlines, be flexible to adapt to change and have a keen eye for quality.

The successful applicant will show proven experience within a façade contractor.


Salary/ Benefits
Salary will be agreed with each individual on a case by case basis depending on previous experience.

As a rough guideline I will be targeting individuals whose annual salary is within £65K to £75K All reasonable travel expenses will be included and you will receive a company works package.


Salary:
£65,000.00-£75,000.00 per year
