We have a fantastic opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Motor Insurance Broker/Account Handler


Lycetts Insurance Brokers, a leading player in the industry, is thrilled to offer a fantastic opportunity at our Newcastle HQ.

We are currently seeking a Motor Insurance Broker/Account Handler to join our team.


Key responsibilities:

As a Motor Broking handler within our esteemed Group Motor department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional service delivery to our valued clients


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Crafting comprehensive new business proposals and renewal schedules, while adhering to compliance manual timescales.
  • Proactively engaging with clients before renewal dates, offering alternative quotes where appropriate to maximise their benefits.
  • Managing all documentation, invoices, credit notes, and other administrative tasks, ensuring a seamless and stressfree renewal process for our clients.
  • Cultivating strong relationships with insurance companies, fostering mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Operating an efficient credit control system and providing regular reports as required.

Knowledge, skills and experience:


  • Proficiency in obtaining quotes and successfully placing business, demonstrating your expertise in the field.
  • Adept at building rapport and negotiating effectively, with both clients and insurers/underwriters.
  • Excellent organisational abilities, allowing you to manage multiple tasks with ease.
  • A strong work ethic, and a proactive mindset, making you an invaluable team player.
