We are seeking Freelance Forest School Leaders and Assistant Forest School Leaders to join our established friendly team at Chichester Forest Schools CIC.

Do you have a passion for working through forest school.

Are you looking for an opportunity to expand your practice? Chichester Forest Schools CIC work with a range of groups including children, young people, families and adults.

We run run a successful schools programme, alternative provision sessions, wellbeing and support sessions for families and adult groups. Chichester Forest Schools CIC is a Recognised Provider for the FSA.


We are looking for leaders to assist with our summer holiday woodland sessions working with children 5-11yrs, young people and adult sessions.

Forest School Leaders would be running some sessions as an individual lead practitioner and other sessions working alongside our qualifed forest school leaders or forest school assistants.

Groups tend to be around 15 children.

We are also running adult wellbeing session, wellbeing sessions for young people and starting our wellbeing sessions for adults with dementia and their carers.


Essential
Experience working with children/ young people

Forest school leader level 3 ( forest school leader postion)

Assistant forest school leader - previous experience supporting forest school sessions ideally level 1 or 2 forest school leader training ,but not essential

Forest school or Outdoor 16hr first aid qualification with a paediatric element

Food hygiene level 2 (or prepared to complete qualification)

Enhance DBS check will be completed.

Safeguarding training.

car driver and access to a vehicle.


Desirable
Experience working delivering forest school and outdoor education programmes

experience working with different age groups

experience working with SEND

Youth/adult Mental Health First aid


Additional qualifications /experience in any of the following areas
teaching qualification

Early years

Managing challanging behaviour

Counselling skills

Therapeutic Forest

Nature connection activities e.g Shinrin Yuku ( forest bathing) yoga
