The Role:


We have an exciting opportunity for a food industry professional to carry out food quality inspections at our clients distribution centre in Bristol.

This part time role could be your step into a career in food inspecting as full training and on-going support is provided.

You will carry out quality inspections on fresh and prepared produce, meat and horticultural products destined for retail. All aspects of quality will be assessed, such as size, condition, freshness, packaging, weight and more. Details and non-conformance's will be recorded for submission digitally to our head office and communicated directly with our client.


The Job:


  • Inspections at a distribution centres in the Bristol area.
  • The hours are 16 hours per week, with extra shifts regularly available.
  • The job involves travel so it essential to be a driver and have access to a vehicle.
  • The job is involves standing, walking and manual handing so a good level of fitness is essential.

The Skills:


  • Butchers
  • Chefs and catering
  • Quality and technical teams in food companies
  • Fresh produce or meat production
  • Auditing and quality assurance


A keen attention to detail is a must, along with the ability to use a spreadsheet, and mobile devices such as an ipad.

All training and equipment needed will be provided. You will need to work well using your own initiative, have a great manner with both colleagues and clients.
