Description

We are working with a central government client who has an exciting vacancy for a Commercial Officer.

The role is expected to last for 6 months and will be hybrid working initially, but could become remote once you are fully up to speed with the work and projects.

The purpose of this role is to provide commercial support to a commercial team to deliver professional and effective commercial contract services and support to the customer teams.

You will work closely with project colleagues to deliver commercial aspects of acquisition programme objectives, managing a range of stakeholders in the commercial process, including input into Frameworks.

In this role you will:

Compile, issue, and evaluate tenders whilst reviewing work and working collaboratively with the wider Commercial Team on best practice and lessons learned to ensure that the wider team benefit from the innovative commercial approaches you create.
Initiate, develop and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders and enablers, often assisting in conflict resolution or creating solutions.
Provide commercial advice and guidance, ensuring all procurement activities represent best value for money, and all activity undertaken is in line with procurement policy, applicable regulations, and best practice.
Compile, issue and evaluate tenders whilst reviewing work and working collaboratively with the wider Commercial team on best practice.
