The Role

As an Estimating / P6 Planner, you will provide planning, technical and commercial support for new bids, acting as an essential link between our Bid Management, Estimating and Operational functions.

This is your opportunity to be there at the beginning of the project lifecycle and help us to map out what needs to be achieved and to what standard.


Here are some of the activities that you'll be responsible for.

  • Producing tender programmes using software such as P
  • Reviewing and understanding tender requirements
  • Gathering operational and design inputs, then translating into programmes and other bid documentation
  • Attending site visits
  • Attending launch, midbid and adjudication meetings to agree methodologies and outputs
  • Producing resource and cost loaded activity programmes
  • Analysing tender stage programmes to determine the critical path and float
  • Actively considering alternative methodologies and materials to produce bids
  • Proactively seek out new areas of operation
  • Assisting in the assessment of risks with other bid colleagues for inclusion into the risk register
  • Assisting in the compilation of pricing clarifications for inclusion with tender submission

We'd love to hear from you if you can demonstrate


Substantial experience in assessing methods and building programmes of construction for civil engineering projects, along with a good knowledge of programme development and construction methodology, including health, safety and environmental considerations.

A good commercial understanding of bidding, including different forms of contract is a also required.
