Description
Reliable female required to provide assistance to a female wheelchair user in her own home. 24 hour shifts 6pm evening through to 6pm next day. Breaks taken within the property. Role includes mid-week and part weekend shifts every other week.

Flexibility to cover other shifts is required. Hourly rate starting at £10.42 per hour up to £11 for weekend hours. The role will involve some care using a sling and hoist which can be easily taught. The role will also involve driving on local motorways so the applicant should be a confident driver.

This is a PAYE role paid every 4 weeks with a payslip provided. Holiday pay, pension provision and sick cover is included in the terms and conditions of the role.


Additional shifts are available if desired

  • The role includes providing assistance with:
  • Personal care (showering/hairstyling, nail trimming etc)
  • Home management (cooking healthy meals, cleaning, ironing, shopping etc)
  • Social and Leisure activities (taking client to see family or helping her to prepare a meal for them at home, going on walks with the client and her dog, being out socially etc)


You will be required to drive the client to appointments or to see family and friends in her own wheelchair accessible automatic vehicle.

It is a requirement of insurance that drivers are over the age of 25.

This is an essential part of the role and you should be confident to drive on motorways around the Preston, Blackpool and Manchester area.

Free parking is available at your place of work.

You should have your own car to travel to and from work reliably.

Paid every 4th Friday via BACS.

During sleepover shifts, you sleepover in the client's home in a separate room. Breaks must be taken within or around the client's home.
