We are currently looking to recruit a full-time Operations andVisual Merchandising Assistant to support our Retail Team, based at our storein Chelsea, London.

OKA Chelsea is our beautiful flagship store in the heart ofLondons design scene.

Here customers can explore our entire collection acrossthree floors, see our pieces styled in seasonal room sets and access our manyservices such as our custom-made sofa service Tailored by OKA.

We are looking for an agile and proactive Operations &Visual Merchandising Assistant with a positive attitude and entrepreneurialspirit who can help us nurture this company culture.


Reporting directly to Operations and Maintenance Manager the Operationsand VM Assistant is responsible for is providing an enhanced retail experiencefor OKA customers through the provision of outstanding customer service, productknowledge and enthusiasm for beautiful interiors.

The Operations and VMAssistant is responsible for assisting both back of house and on the showroomfloor, interacting with team and clients and supporting as necessary.

This rolesupports the Visual Merchandising team with store set up and housekeeping withinstallation of stock across the ranges.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational:

  • To bepresent at the shop at the time of the deliveries, in order to assist with theunloading of the delivery van and organise all relevant paperwork for thedriver.
  • To supportwith removing the delivery to the stockroom and following correct process,ensuring that all discrepancies are recorded and followed up on.
  • Ensure thatthe stockroom is clean, tidy, and organised at all times, ensuring all staffmaintain order and tidiness of the stockroom.
  • To supportOperations & Maintenance Manager with stock management processes,housekeeping and cycle counts to maintain inventory levels in store.
  • Identify andmanage faulty stock and stock without barcode tickets so that the customerjourney is clear.
  • To ensurethat all stock leaving the shop is booked out, packaged correctly, andensuring that all paperwork is completed for couriers and Parcel force
  • To pick upcustomer requests for the Shops Sales Team and deliver to the shop floor asand when required
  • To bepresent at the shop stock check to assist with coordinating the count. Tobe present when setting up for Promos and Sales and other key commercial times(holiday must not be booked to coincide with these stock checks).
  • Support theHead Office and Management team with any new stock management processes instore and to test and provide feedback.
  • Providefeedback on any stock related issues that arise in store and to carry outInventory training requirements to the Store Manager/Inventory Team.
  • Ensure allOperations processes are adhered to by the teams.
  • To attendmeetings where necessary to keep all processes in order.
  • Train newstarters on the company Operations policies and the importance of stockmanagement from a stock room to sales floor.

Visual Merchandising:

  • To ensurethat the shop is always merchandised to the Companys desired standard, withliaison with the VM Department and shop displays that are changed on a regularbasis.
  • To liaisewith the Shop Management Team regarding over stocks and stock that is runninglow within the shop.
  • To takepride in the showroom floor and maintain displays with the guidance of VM teamand Store Management. To assist with installation of product into the showroom.
  • To pickstock for shop floor replenishment as requested and maintain commercial baysfrom the VM and Management teams guidance.
  • Any otherrelated duties that are outlined from time to time by the Shop Manager andAssistant Manager.
  • Whenrequired, to assist on the Shop Floor with assisting customers, customer salesand housekeeping.

ABOUT YOU

  • Previousluxury retail experience, ideally within the furniture or homeware sectors
  • Passion for providingbestinclass customer service and building lasting customer relationships
  • Provensoft selling skills, including linkselling of complimentary products
  • Good organisationalskills and the ability to prioritise
  • Flexible approach toworking weekends, public holidays and occasional travel to support other Storesand for meetings and training
