About The Role:


Newly created opportunity for a Document Controller who has experience working in the construction industry to join the Richter Group as we continue with expansion plans.

This role can be based at any of our UK offices.

As Document Controller you will effectively manage all document control aspects for allocated Projects across the Group.


Responsibilities:


  • Ensure document control requirements are administered as per contract requirements and within agreed timescales and available for use for all relevant parties.
  • Maintain the CDE and ensure information stored on Client's CDEs is permanently available or transferred to Richter prior to contract completion.
  • Create and maintain document registers as required.
  • Allocate document numbers as per the Richter or Client specified Document Numbering procedure.
  • Quality check documents and edit any that have typographical / formatting errors that may lead to the disqualification of the document or cause it to look unprofessional. Ensure the entire document is legible.
  • Attention to details ensuring documents are signed and the correct version are uploaded without any errors and are uploaded to the various parties on a timely manner and according to the programme deadline.
  • Assist in the collation and issue of project 'startup' packs.
  • Assist in the collation and issue of handover documentation.
  • Raise any Document Control issues / concerns at the earliest opportunity, with appropriate person, document and inform person necessary.
  • Ensure the Project teams adhere to group procedures and governance.

About You:


Essential Criteria:


  • Demonstrable experience in a professional Document Control department.
  • Experience of the Infrastructure / Civil Engineering / Construction industry.
  • Some working knowledge of the Rail industry, including Network Rail working practices.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of operating IT systems, i.e., Microsoft Suite, and dedicated Electronic Document Management Systems such as ProjectWise, Asite, BIMXtra, Viewpoint For Projects, Zutec, Built Intelligence.
  • Valid Full UK Driving License.
