Description
We are looking for a professional, motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Internal Medicine team.

Your role is instrumental in the running of our department in assisting the team which consists of 5 Medicine Vets and 4 Registered nurses.

There is a lot of potential in this role to grow, use initiative and take on additional responsibilities resulting in becoming a highly specialised PCA.

Your role will be varied and you will work closely with a number of departments to deliver the highest quality care for our patients.

You will be assisting with delivering chemotherapy, endoscopic procedures, imaging, lab work and hospitalised care etc.

You will be responsible for infection control for our department and we have our own designated medicine procedures and chemotherapy administration rooms that you will maintain equipment and stock of.

The team is close knit and enjoys a good relationship with so much opportunity to learn.

We have a weekly case discussion where we look back over the previous weeks patients and discuss the history, diagnostic process and treatment to learn more about the diseases we see.

This is an open forum where questions are welcomed as always to allow better understanding and knowledge as to how to better care for our patients.

Many of our cases require long term management allowing us to build relationships with both clients and patients and this is a really important part of our speciality and gives real job satisfaction.

There are many hospital-wide teams and groups that you can be involved in eg. Green team, infection control, team voice etc that focus on particular aspects of patient care/hospital policies.

You have the opportunity to be part of changes that positively impact our patients, the team, hospital and the planet.

If you are interested in having your own projects and responsibilities in addition to contributing to the wider care of our patients within a busy and constantly evolving hospital then get in contact for further information.
