Are you an enthusiastic book lover with a passion for sales who would embrace the opportunity to be part of DK, the world's leading illustrated non-fiction Publisher?
Our International Publishing and Licensing (IPL) team is a fun, friendly and a very international bunch responsible for selling rights and exports for our beautiful books all across the world and in over 60 languages.
We are seeking a confident and eager Rights Assistant with proven communication skills to provide administrative support to the Asia team.
This entry level role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a wide variety of stunning books, a whole host of people and the chance to understand and learn how to work in a busy international environment.
Responsible for a range of activities, your typical duties will include (but not be limited to):
Liaising with internal departments (Editorial, Production, Legal, Finance)
Liaising with our external stakeholders across Korea, Japan and Vietnam
(including publishers, retailers, and distributors)

Tracking titles from the production process through to invoicing

Drafting contracts

Sending sales materials and title information to our wide range of clients

Processing and tracking of export orders

Running sales reports

Maintaining forecasting systems and databases
We are looking for someone with a real passion for international publishing, who can work both individually and as part of a supportive close-knit team. Juggling a workload where no two days are the same, it is essential you possess the very best organisational & time management skills, have excellent attention to detail and are comfortable talking to people at all levels.
If you're the kind of person who can pick up new systems quickly, think on your feet and use your initiative to solve problems whilst maintaining a flexible approach, this could be just the job for you.
It would be great if you spoke Korean and any previous knowledge of other publishing systems would be an advantage.
The role is based in our London office at Embassy Gardens, although we are currently working a hybrid model with a blend of home and office working. Periodic international travel for business may be required.

Salary:
£28,500 per annum
