Malaria Consortium is recruiting for a
Communications Officer - Digital to join our team in
London, UK.


The Communications Officer will play a key role within the External Relations (ER) team to manage the organisation's public digital channels, supporting in the creation of messaging to promote a strong public profile for Malaria Consortium to a diverse range of audiences including donors, potential donors, national and local media, governments, academia and the general public in the UK, Europe and globally.


  • Relevant experience in digital communications, ideally in an NGO or similar organisation
  • Excellent knowledge of maintaining and developing a website CMS (Content Management System)
  • Experience in managing and growing social media channels for an organisation, including content planning, posting, engagement, analytics and paid spend and how these integrate with wider communications and fundraising campaigns
  • Good knowledge of international development issues and associated stakeholders
  • Excellent understanding of public outreach through online platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to evolving digital trends and technologies, and a proactive approach to exploring innovative communication methods
  • Ability to tailor writing towards different audiences
  • Understanding of compliance requirements related to digital communication, and a commitment to upholding organisational brand guidelines and standards.
  • Good planning skills and ability to multitask and manage a heavy workload
  • Proven team skills, including flexibility and enthusiasm
