Head of Library Experience and Operations

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a proactive and dynamic Head of Library Experience and Operations to join Library and Cultural Services at an exciting time.


This is a 2 year fixed term role in the first instance.


We are looking for an outstanding leader with energy and fresh ideas to lead the recently formed Library Experience team and help shape our vision for the future.

You will drive innovation and service development, ensure consistently excellent experience of the library, and design services and spaces that work for everyone in our diverse University community.


You will join Library and Cultural Services at an exciting time when our 100 strong team is developing a new strategy and shaping major projects in support of Manchester Met's ambitious Road to 2030 strategy.

We are reimagining our services and spaces in the Library Transformation Programme, and you will work closely with the Associate Director, using your knowledge of sector and technological developments to help shape our plan.


Library and Cultural Services people are resourceful and passionate about providing an excellent and evolving service to the University's 36,000 students and 5,000 staff.
