Purpose of the Role/Role Overview:
The Electrical Testing and Installation Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality of electrical systems.
This position involves conducting Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR's), performing remedial repairs, and overseeing the installation of fixed wire electrical systems in alignment with British and European Standards.
The technician will also contribute to maintaining high-quality business practices and upholding our commitment to excellence.General Duties/Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR's) on a diverse range of domestic and communal installations, adhering to established standards and regulations.
- Undertake remedial works (C1, C2) at the time of testing, including enhancements and modifications to Smoke Detection equipment.
- Execute the complete installation process of fixed wire electrical systems, ensuring precision and compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct site surveys as required to assess electrical system requirements and identify potential areas for improvement.
- Play an active role in training apprentices, sharing expertise, and contributing to their professional development.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and diligence in all interactions, prioritising client needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
Qualifications and Skills:
Possess relevant qualifications in electrical engineering or a related field, which include:1. 18th Edition - IET Wiring Regulations,
- City & Guilds 2365 Diploma in Electrical Installations,
- Initial Periodic Electrical Inspection and Testing (2391)
- Demonstrated experience in conducting Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR's) and performing remedial repairs.
- Proficiency in installing fixed wire electrical systems, adhering to British and European Standards.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations governing electrical systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to upholding highquality work standards and client satisfaction.
- Prior experience in training and mentoring apprentices is a plus.

£19,926.19-£42,418.14 per year
