Description
Responsibilities:
- Provide care and support to individuals in need, including seniors, patients, and children
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety and comfort
- Engage in meaningful conversation and provide companionship to promote emotional wellbeing
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and organized environment
Skills:
- Experience in providing care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease
- Proficient in meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met
- Knowledge of basic nursing procedures and practices
- Ability to provide compassionate patient care with empathy and respect
- Familiarity with senior care principles and best practices
- Competent in medication administration and adherence to prescribed schedules
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (if required for the position) and access to own vehicle
- Experience in childcare or working with children is a plus
Qualification Requirements:
- NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care
