To proactively source, select and build a pipeline of high quality, engaged Care Professionals across the business.

To promote Home Instead as an employer of choice in the local community.

The Role

People

  • Lead and represent Home Instead values driving culture and engagement.
  • Recruit, train, manage and motivate a high performing team of key players focused on the needs of clients and Care Professionals
  • Define clear roles and responsibilities, providing feedback and guidance to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Be the employer of choice and focus on recruitment and retention to match business growth.
  • Invest in talent and in the training and development of your team.
  • Ensure that current employment, equal opportunities, and health and safety legislation, together with good practice are consistently applied within your areas of responsibility.

Recruitment

  • Encourage and lead the development of networks in the local community and ensure regular community events planned throughout the year to promote Home Instead as an employer of choice.
  • Lead all aspects of recruitment activity ensuring compliance with Franchise Standards and regulatory requirements through effectively management of the Group Recruitment & Retention team.
  • Ensure recruitment strategies are in place, including creative recruitment campaigns, proactive sourcing of Care Professionals through various means and interesting, innovative, and timely content for social media.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of recruitment related information using the SmartRecruiters Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and all key players understand their responsibilities.
  • Monitor ratio of Care Professionals to clients, building a robust talent bank and drive communication between the recruitment and scheduling team.
  • Drive, manage and report group performance indicators, to ensure clear and accurate performance of teams are optimised to achieve growth targets.
  • Support the creation of a succession plan to support future business growth.

Recruitment Activity

  • Manage all aspects of recruitment activity ensuring compliance with legislation, regulators, and Franchise Standards.
  • Develop and implement creative recruitment campaigns online and within the local community.
  • Use knowledge of the market and competitors to identify and develop the Company's unique selling propositions and differentiators.
  • Research, plan and successfully execute regular community events including attending fairs, exhibitions, recruitment events and any other appropriate events.
  • Utilise recruitment data to make informed decisions regarding recruitment approach.
  • Achieve targeted recruitment figures.
  • Ensure compliance with Home Instead's Equality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities policy, in respect of employment and service delivery.
  • Ensure that all Care Professional employee files are correct prior to a Care Professional working in line with current legislative and regulatory requirements and frameworks.
  • Ensure Care Professional documents are kept up to date and requests for updated paperwork or documents are made (and received) in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Carry out any other duties deemed necessary for the successful operation of the business.

Retention and Structured Support

  • Create a plan with the team for each stage of the Care Professionals journey to ensure they are fully supported, with touch points in place, especially within the first 12 weeks.
  • Monitor the quality of annual appraisals and coach and develop key players in this area.
  • Support the completion of PEAQ and develop and deliver an action plan based on the feedback.
  • Monitor staff welfare, morale, and well being.
  • Review completion of exit interviews and identify any common threads to share with wider key player team to put solutions in place.
  • Overall responsibility for employee files; ensuring that they are all compliant, up to date and accurate.
  • Ensure compliance with Home Instead's Equality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities Policy, in respect of employment and service delivery.
  • Support the operations team with any people related issues.
  • Carry out any other duties deemed necessary for the successful operation of the business.

Legal

  • Ensure successful operation of all policies, processes, procedures, and systems and implement a culture of best practice.
  • Provide weekly/monthly activity reports for meetings with the General Manager to provide comprehensive Recruitment & Retention updates.
