Children North East is a large North East based children's charity that works across the region, with some work extending across England, Wales and Scotland.

We exist because growing up can be hard.

We want all babies, children and young people to be happy and healthy, and to grow up feeling safe and loved, resilient to the challenges they may face, and valued and confident.


You will work with other fundraising colleagues to support the raising of funds and donations from a wide range of businesses, community groups, organisations and individuals by generating fundraising leads, stewarding relationships and supporting the delivery of events, activities and campaigns.

Identify, develop and steward relationships with donors, community groups and corporate supporters.


Identify and undertake activities that help the charity grow its visibility within groups which have the potential to support the charity, including how they can support, our impact and the benefits it can foster for them.

Take a 'business development' approach to creating shared value for the charity and its supporters.

Assist fundraisers with a range of needs, including providing information, advice and resources and supporting with their activities as appropriate (i.e. attending events, meeting teams).

Support the team in planning and delivery of community fundraising activities.

Identify and attend community-based events to attract new audiences and engage existing supporters.

Align with agreed supporter journey pathways and other fundraising team processes.

Research potential funding opportunities from corporate and community supporters.


Keep up to date with the work of the charity and its priorities for meeting community needs and meeting its strategic goals.

Keep up with trends in the sector.


Be aware of and deliver against annual KPI's, budgets, targets, and plans with the guidance and support of the Fundraising Manager.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date supporter records on Children North East's CRM system.

Ensure that Gift Aid is maximised at all relevant opportunities.

Ensure a consistent approach and a quality service for our supporters.


Ensure that all activities are compliant with legislation governing fundraising including GDPR, health and safety, Institute of Fundraising, and the Fundraising Regulator Code of Conduct.

30 hours per week - Salary is pro-rated accordingly.
