Come and make a difference at Karbon as a Grounds Maintenance Team Leader - Permanent Role**We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual for the role of Team Leader in the Grounds Maintenance Team. Our Grounds Maintenance teams are responsible for the upkeep and improvement of our customers neighbourhoods across the Karbon footprint, they carry out cyclical maintenance in various environments and are implemental in managing the company's tree stock


About the role


We are looking for an experienced Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to join and support our Grounds Maintenance management team in further developing an already excellent service which is delivered to our customers in a way that that promotes high levels of customer focus, performance, health and safety and quality, with a strong emphasis on innovation, forward thinking and continuous improvement.


About you


The successful applicant should have a thorough understanding of modern grounds maintenance practices, and must possess the relevant knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to successfully manage a multi - disciplined team of in-house colleagues, supported by approved sub - contractors, in undertaking grounds maintenance tasks in a fast moving, dynamic and expanding working environment.


You will have a strong knowledge of current health and safety legislation, creating risk assessments and safe systems of work.


You need to be be dynamic and resilient, with a collaborative and engaging style, and possess strong initiative, customer service, people management, time management and organisational skills.

You will also need to have experience in the use of Word, Excel and other operating systems.

Additionally, be highly organised, capable of working to tight deadlines, achieving KPIs and targets in accordance with budget constraints, whilst maintaining high quality, and safety.

A full UK driving licence is essential.


The successful applicant may be asked to operate anywhere within the current Karbon Homes geographical footprint and manage internal and external contractual obligations as required.

  • Salary is £28,538 per annum plus a Karbon car payment of £2012 per annum (pay award pending)
  • Location: North East
  • Regular travel will be required
  • 37 Hours per week
