Account Manager - up to £45,000

Working for a long-established and highly respected electronics manufacturer, the Account Manager is a key position within the customer facing team and is responsible for ensuring customers receive the expected levels of service.

You will be the customers interfacewith the business and be responsible for their complete lifecycle from understanding their pipeline, providing timely responses to requests for quotes and managing the order book through to shipping and invoicing.


Key responsibilities:

  • Provide customer forecast information to the operations team.
  • Keep the management team informed about customer activity and any issues their business is facing which
might impact the relationship and revenue.

  • Drive activities to increase revenue growth from existing accounts.
  • Manage quotations from receipt to proposal with assistance of Sales Support Team.
  • Manage any issues associated with customer order book in liaison with the operations and purchasing
teams with the objective to deliver on-time-in-full.

  • Develop trusted advisor status relationship with key accounts, customer's and internal stakeholders.
  • Be the first point of contact for any issues relating to assigned accounts.
  • Oversee quality issues relating to assigned accounts, keep customers appraised of the status to maintain
trust. Drive the resolution by working closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams.

  • Review customer commercial documentation including NDAs, stock holding agreements, blanket orders, etc.
  • Negotiating of contractual terms and conditions to ensure agreements represent the best interests of the
organisation to ensure the best cost/service efficiency is achieved.

  • Ensure the ERP (Epicor) system is continually updated with the latest information relevant to each
customer order.

  • Complete any relevant training provided by the company and assist in the training of others where required.
  • Carry out duties in a respectful and efficient manner, always acting in the interest of the company and
complying with the company rules and regulations.

  • Timely reporting of any issues or occurrences to the Commercial Manager.
  • Any other reasonable requests from the management team.
Successful applicants will demonstrate at least 5 years experience in a customer facing role within a manufacturing environment.

You will be IT literate with excellent Word and Excel skills and possess a good working knowledge of ERP systems.
