Great opportunity to join Services UK Middlesbrough Service Centre, as our Pump Team Leader we are looking for an operational person who can lead the team and drive the department to the next level.


What do we do at the service centre? We repair and refurbish all types of rotating equipment, specializing in wind turbine services from testing, repairs, and overhauls of generators, gearboxes, and motors.


In this role you will be accountable for:

  • Allocation of projects, providing job-specific information to workshop reports
  • Review job requirements and coordinate with the team
  • Support team in determining the optimum approach to work execution and provide technical guidance and troubleshooting for more complex activities where necessary
  • Assist with the team workload, particularly complex or higher criticality equipment where engineering specifications or build tolerances require greater experience or knowledge to complete correctly

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Formal apprenticeship, preferably in Pumps / mechanical engineering or electrical mechanical rotating equipment, with OEM or other recognized electrical/mechanical service company.
  • IOSH Health and Safety for Supervisors would be an advantage
- previous experience of Pumps and mechanical rotating equipment

  • Experience of leading a team and can demonstrate a "lead from the front attitude" & motivate others
  • Strong background in mechanical engineering, particularly in all forms of rotating and static equipment, previous experience with Pumps, motors, generators, transformers, and electrical/mechanical rotating equipment
