Operations Administrator


Salary:
£22,000 - £24,000 (plus competitive bonus and commission)


Contract Type:
Permanent - Full time (40 hours per week)


What you'll do:

As an Operations Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our day to day operations.

This position offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience as an Administrator with opportunities to develop into an Account Manager.

This role is within a growing engineering sector, focusing on waste disposal machinery services.

Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will receive comprehensive training to develop the skills necessary for success in this role.


We are looking for an individual who is organised and works with exceptional attention to detail and who has a hands-on approach to ensure our customers receive the best possible service.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing and nurturing relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met effectively and efficiently
  • To be responsible for the account management of small to medium sized accounts. To produce a yearly turnover of approx. £300K
  • Support the sales team in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the waste management industry
  • Issue quotations that reflect both the requirements of the customer whilst satisfying any statutory obligations or agreed engineering standards
  • Plan and manage customer contact activity through internal systems to completion.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless delivery of services to clients
  • Collaborate with technical teams to understand product offerings and provide relevant information to clients
  • Use internal systems to ensure all process and procedures are followed, save documentation on internal systems
  • Assist customers with queries and assist with answering incoming calls to ensure customers are directed to the right person
  • Professional and clear communication skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to always produce accurate work
  • Provide general administrative support to team members when required to assist with cover and busy periods

Knowledge and Skills required for the role

  • IT skills (Microsoft Office programs) and internal IT systems
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workloads with the capability to multitask
  • Experience of using database systems with knowledge of internal systems and company processes
  • Ability and desire to learn new skills within the role
  • Excellent verbal written and communication skills, letter writing and other correspondence, Speaking with customer on the telephone
  • Ensure all details recorded and information is kept up to date
  • Knowledge in waste management is not essential as training will be provided
