Operating out of 5 strategically located depots, our business specialises in all aspects of submersible pumps, from hire & service to sales and pump station installation.


As the UK's leading distributor of Flygt pumps, we hold unrivalled stock levels of new pumps, spare parts and accessories; all tailored towards offering a complete solution to our customers.


Our head office facilities are located in Port Talbot, South Wales, with our central distribution warehouse in Gloucester, just off the M5 motorway.

Pump Supplies have been involved in many projects over the years, completing jobs surrounding flooding, breakdowns and engineering sites

We are looking for a
Trainee Hire Controller working from our Gloucester depot.


This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to develop a career in the pump hire business.


Responsibilities:


  • Ensure accuracy of all paperwork and that procedures for hire / sales contracts, purchase orders, stock transfers, asset administration, are adhered to.
  • Liaise with the workshop to ensure equipment required for hire is available.
  • Coordinate Drivers to ensure equipment is delivered and collected from customers on time and efficiently.
  • Maximise consumable sales opportunities at every opportunity.
  • Ensure all deadlines are met in relation to reporting of information.
  • Work within the Health & Safety policy of the company to ensure safe working practises.
  • Ensure availability and utilisation of fleet, both within the depot and through cooperation with other Pump Supplies depots.

  • Proficiency in computer skills such as Excel, Word etc
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferable background; 'A' level educated, work experience in a tool hire or similar environment

This position offers a competitive salary based on experience.
