Manchester City Council are recruiting for a Building Surveyor to work within Repairs & Maintenance on an initial 3 month contract.


Pay Rate:
£28 PAYE/ £34.96 Umbrella


Contract:
Temporary, initial 3 months


Location:
Office is based at Vale Park Way, Manchester. The role also involves travel to properties within a certain area, so you must possess a full driving licence.


Hours: 35 per week


The role:

We are looking for an experienced building surveyor to join our repairs and maintenance team.

As a Building Surveyor you will be responsible for providing an effective high quality repairs service, as part of a busy team.

You will have responsibility for pre-inspection and post-inspection, monitoring of both repairs and variations to tenanted and void properties.


You will be an excellent communicator who is highly organised and be able to deliver a high quality service within demanding timescales.


Within your role you will liaise with contractors to resolve any problems and ensure all work is carried out to the required standard within budget.

You will provide support to New Tenancy and Neighbourhood Service teams to minimise the void times of Northwardsproperties.


You must possess directly related experience in domestic building maintenance and either the HNC or ONC in a building related field.

You must have a full driving licence as access to a car is required on a daily basis.
