An SEN Teaching Assistant position is available at a fantastic special school in the Birmingham district of Hall Green.

role, starting January 2023
** £400 - £450 per week

The SEN Teaching Assistant:


For this SEN Teaching Assistant role, you must have a good understanding of special educational needs such as Autism, ADHD, complex learning difficulties, PTSD, PDA, ODD and Attachment Disorder.

You do not need a Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant qualification;however, it is preferred.

Most importantly, you should have experience working with EYFS and KS1 pupils with SEN in an SEN school or a similar setting.


The SEN Teaching Assistant Role:


As an SEN Teaching Assistant at this school, you will be supporting pupils in their lesson with their learning and engagement.

You will need to be confident in differentiating work to suit their level of ability and altering your approach to support the needsof the child.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be assisting learning through sensory work, play, and providing a stimulating, nurturing environment that encourages learning.

The school are rated 'Good' by Ofsted and cater for pupils with Autism, complex learning needs and a large range of SEN.

Pupils have EHCPs, so it is important you are aware of their individual needs so as to support them appropriately throughout their lessons.
