PETA have enjoyed over 50 years of business success. During this time, we have grown, adapted, and transformed into the organisation that we are today. One of our key objectives is to improve the way we engage with the local community, specifically schools.
With this in mind, we are now looking to recruit a School Engagement Officer to join our team.


This exciting and unique role is offered on a part time basis working 20 hours per week (Monday to Friday), term time only.

The successful applicant for this role will need to be able to work flexibly as the 20 hours will change week to week to reflect theschool events calendar with some evening work required (typically up until 8pm).


What will I be responsible for?
As our School Engagement Officer, you will be responsible for maximising our school engagement strategy to deliver first class information, advice, and guidance about Apprenticeships


This will involve:

  • Delivering engaging, informative, and inspirational presentations, assemblies, and workshops to students
  • Attending school careers fairs (both daytime and evening)
  • Building strong partnerships with our network of 90 schools, sixth forms and local employment partners
  • Developing a robust communication strategy for our school contacts
  • Consistently reviewing and improving our suite of presentations and Apprenticeship marketing collateral
  • Working closely with our Coordinator to ensure that KPI's relating to school engagement are met.

What will I need to succeed?
As our ideal School Engagement Officer, you will need to be passionate about inspiring young people.

It will be essential that you have excellent presentation skills combined with a commitment to delivering the highest standards of Apprenticeship educationto students.

Proven knowledge of apprenticeships, career paths and post 16 options would be desirable but not essential for this role.

To be considered you will need the following skills:


  • A confident and enthusiastic presentation style
  • Ability work on your own initiative and think outside the box
  • Strategic approach to relationship management
  • Full UK driving license and access to a car
