We 're looking for a
SME Sales Consultant to join our lively team to proactively sell Wave's water and value-added products to new and existing small and medium enterprise (SME) businesses both direct and through Third Party Intermediaries (TPI's).


As an SME Sales Consultant, you will establish strong business relationships with existing and new SME customers to ensure opportunities are maximised.

You will listen to and appreciate our customer's needs, presenting sales solutions that are simple to understand and meet the objectives of our customers and the business.

Your role will be varied and you will be expected to do an element of cold calling, handling inbound and outbound and calls, administration and time management to maximise and manage pipeline and take accountability for performance whilst demonstrating our values

  • Achieve monthly sales/retention targets in line with business plan and take accountability for personal performance and development
  • Establish strong business relationships with existing and new SME customers and TPI's to ensure opportunities are maximised
  • Maintain the CRM system and update customer information to enrich our prospect data as well as ensuring all data is handled/stored in like with DPA and GDPR regulations.
  • Update our billing system when working with our existing SME customer base
  • Take accountability for the endtoend sales cycle from prospecting and qualifying new leads to securing contracts and handling the postsale process. This will include handovers to onboarding, and in some cases Account Management.
  • Provide weekly and monthly sales forecast information, including number of customers, revenue, and sites
  • Manage a pipeline of future business and seek out new opportunities to generate revenue for the business as well as leads for other teams including Water Efficiency Services (WES)
  • Manage a blended portfolio of sales and opportunities
  • Able to develop and build strong relationships
  • Highly motivated, results driven, and target focused
  • An excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate and with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
  • Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent with at least Grade C in English and Maths
