Role Summary_

An opportunity has arisen to join LionHeart Football as a Football & Multi Sport Coach.


This role demands an individual, passionate and purposeful about football, phsyical activity and young people alike, committed to their own personal-development and driven to enhance the prospective success of LionHeart Football in line with our vision, values, and culture.


Upon joining the LionHeart Football Team, you will be responsible for the delivery of physical education lessons and after-school coaching sessions across local Schools and holiday camp programmes.

This role also requires delivering midweek evening football/futsal sessions and weekend morning soccer schools at our local grassroots football club partners.

Key Responsibilities_


Coaching:
To abide by the LionHeart Football Coaches Handbook.


Responsible for planning and delivering high quality, engaging and enjoyable sessions for in line with various teaching/coaching schemes of work.

To ensure all young people adhere to LionHeart Football's culture and values of high-level care, discipline and respect.

To assess all participants and provide written and/or verbal feedback linked to learning.

To complete CPD (Continuous Professional Development) to ensure professionalism and coaching standards are maintained and enhanced.


Communication:


To liaise on a regular basis with the Lead Football Coach to ensure the needs of all participants are catered for.

To develop and maintain a professional relationship with parents/carers of participants across all of our sessions and programmes.


Safeguarding:


To be fully responsible for the safety and welfare of all young people under your care and the maintenance of class registers.

To monitor potential safeguarding risks and work to promote a safer working environment throughout.

To understand and abide by all policies including Safeguarding, Equality, and Health & Safety.

Use this to ensure a safer recruitment, safe working practices, appropriate reporting of concerns and positively contribute to an anti-bullying environment.

To follow whistleblowing procedures if there is anything that raises concerns.

Qualifications_

FA Level 1 in Coaching Football or Equivalent

Level 2 in Multi Skills Coaching - Desirable

SEND Awareness Course - Dyslexia, ADHD, Autism - Desirable

Valid FA Safeguarding Children Certificate

Safeguarding Children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Certificate - Desirable

Valid Basic First Aid for Sport Certificate

Enhanced DBS Check

Full Driving Licence

Access To Vehicle

Personal Attributes & Skills Required_

Highly personable and enthusiastic with a very strong sense of purpose towards work.

Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills.

An ability to adapt quickly, be flexible in the face of change and solution orientated.

An ability to remain calm under pressure.

Experience & Knowledge_

At least 3+ years coaching, working within a range of sessions and programmes including a school environment.


A strong understanding of how to plan, set up and deliver a sports coaching sessions with session topics and learning objectives considered.

£22,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
