An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Inspector to join our growing friendly team, at Niftylift. The role is based at our state of the art manufacturing facility in Hoyland, Barnsley.

The Quality Inspector Role requires a strong team player with experience, skills and knowledge in quality within a manufacturing/fabrication environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide Quality Control support to Manufacturing areas, conduct inspection, collect measurement data, and ensure quality control documents are available to operators.
- Support Quality Assurance Engineers and Team Leaders in implementing preventative solutions to Quality concerns.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and auditing of Quality Control Procedures.
- Conduct "patrol" inspection assisting operators in identifying nonconforming processes to standards and identifying rework requirements.
- Performing immediate containment of reported defective products.
Working Hours & Salary:
07:30 to 16:30 hours, Monday - Thursday, with an unpaid lunch break 12:45 to 13:15 hours. And 07:30 - 13:30 hours Friday (i.e., 40 hours basic);
Pay & Benefits:
- Annual bonus (for indication only) based on recent average £500 per annum.

Experience:
- Visual Weld Inspection Qualification e.g. PCN Level 1 desirable but not essential (training will be available)
- Experience in manufacturing practices; Assembled and welded components, Painting and final assemblies
- Ability to use basic measuring equipment, e.g. Vernier, bore micrometer, bore gauges, Go/No Go gauges etc.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings;
- Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint also Access;
