Description
Global Head of Continuous Improvement required for my client, a global leading developer and manufacturer of products for the life science and biotech markets.
My client are a global business with manufacturing sites in multiple locations.As Global Headof Continuous Improvement you will be responsible for all of the companies Continuous Improvement activities and team members worldwide.
As Global Head of Continuous Improvement you will be responsible for:- Development and ownership of a clear global CI strategy for the business
- Accountable for deploying and embedding this strategy across all global locations and functions
- Accountable for driving and coordinating CI activities to provide broader business benefit and a corporate focus to improve business profitability
- To own overall CI savings target, and ensure functional ownership for allocated activities
- Through development of a Lean academy, determine and introduce training/development for those directly involved in the management and delivery of CI projects
- Ensure all employees have an appropriate level of understanding of CI and lean principles to ensure these are embedded throughout the organisation
- Develop a robust governance model and control environment for CI activities, ensuring effective management, planning, performance monitoring and reporting (including to SLT)
- Proactively identify CI opportunities and achieve target savings through Kaizen events
- Coordinate with facility and functional leaders to establish a process improvements roadmap
- Effectively utilise tools such as LEAN, 5S, Six Sigma methodologies and Value Stream Mapping
- Design and support implementation projects where process improvement is in scope
- Create ownership and capability development at all sites, supporting site teams to coach and train tools and principles which build and embed a Right First Time / Lean culture
- To manage, support and devlop the central CI team, directing that team to ensure delivery of team objectives and responsibilities
- To set and manage CI team budget
- Experience in a biotech, life science, pharmacutical, medical device, FMCG or similar type industry
- Extensive management experience and a proven track record of delivering significant, sustained business performance improvements
- Core CI skills and experience (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Black Belt)
- Able to understand complex information / concepts quickly and disseminate in an understandable way
- Great stakeholder and change management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Data analysis skills
