Global Order Management Specialist will review and manage Sales Orders in SAP from the time the order becomes free of holds through to when the order is put into delivery.

You will be responsible for both consumable and Large Pack orders (managed orders).

A managed order is defined as an order that contains an instrument or a system, or the complexity of the order warrants manual attention during the fulfilment process.

You will work with the manufacturing sites to schedule the order as closely as possible to the desired date of the customer (based on the collective requirements of all customer orders).

You will make sure the order is completed and moved into delivery on time.


Responsibilities:


  • Review orders on receipt for accuracy of data as it pertains to the Consumable and Large Pack process, including but not limited to: shipping conditions, delivery groups, delivery site, HazMat plant, etc.
  • Consider desired customer receipt date
  • Work with site schedulers and the Global Demand Planning team to determine the date of earliest shipment for all managed orders, including Large Pack, Demo, DOA, Partials, preposition orders and RIW (all orders should be dated within 48 hours after hold release)
  • Maintain visibility of needs for special payment term orders
  • Create global delivery, including early global delivery, process partial shipments (delivery should be created on the same day when order becomes completed/fully staged)
  • Optimize timing of shipments to maximize revenue, considering payment terms, revenue recognition rules to react to endofperiod revenue requirements
  • Schedule, when necessary, preshipment inspections
  • Maintain contact with the Customer Care and OTR organization until order leaves the manufacturing sites (automated with Delivery Prediction)
  • Reset delivery promise based on changing conditions in the business and communicate those changes to appropriate business contacts (automated with Delivery Prediction)
  • Communicate trends and issues associated with site fulfilment
  • Train Customer Care on the continual evolving Large Pack process
  • Manage PN in the shortage mode manage allocation files, and align the priorities with OTR, BU and Customer Care.
  • Stay in close cooperation with planning to follow up on material availability. Raise shortages/fulfilment needs to planning teams/buyers/manufacturing leaders
  • Organizing/participating in conference calls linked to order management activities/backlog management
  • Raise process improvement ideas to the Customer Operations Center of Excellence team
  • Monitoring lead time for fulfilment and sharing updates with business partners (OTR, CC, SIOP leaders etc.). Stay in touch with purchasing team and manufacturing teams to get the best fulfilment cycle time for backlog orders.
  • Monitor manufacturing output/external suppliers' goods reception to understand deviation from the plan and redate orders/recommit fulfilment dates.

Requirements for the position:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Statistics, Customer Care or a related discipline
  • Experience with a large ERP system, preferably SAP
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to travel occasionally (up to 5%) domestically and internationally

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong SAP order management skillset experience: working knowledge of SAP tables and data extraction methodology, Central Component, Advanced Planning, and alert monitors preferred
  • Ability to communicate and present information effectively verbally and in writing and collaborate with peers, colleagues, and leaders, including crossfunctional, global partners
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Effective knowledge of SAP STRs and STOs (Stock Transfer Request/Order) for supply/demand execution
  • Detailoriented with the ability to work on multiple tasks and projects and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines
