The charity is seeking a FUNDING OFFICER
This role requires the ability to work independently to achieve agreed objectives. The head office team works closely together to maximise the impact of this small organisation across Scotland.
This position will be best suited to someone who sees this as an exciting challenge and does not need a highly structured framework to manage their own work effectively.
Previous experience is necessary and clear demonstration of previous work and performance will be required.

The role:
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising Strategy:
Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to diversify income streams and maximize revenue generation. This includes identifying potential donors, cultivating relationships, and nurturing long-term partnerships.
Fundraising Events:
Plan, organise, and execute fundraising events to attract donations and raise awareness about the charity's initiatives. Coordinate logistics, manage budgets, and ensure events run smoothly and efficiently.
Fundraising Reporting:
Monitor and evaluate the performance of fundraising activities, tracking progress towards fundraising goals, and providing regular reports to management and trustees.
Networking:
Represent the charity at networking events, conferences, and community gatherings to promote the organisation's mission, build connections, and explore potential fundraising opportunities.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Demonstrable experience of social media platforms and webbased fundraising.
- Selfstarter, goal orientated with excellent time management skills.
- Experience of working in or with the voluntary or community education sector.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to craft compelling grant proposals and donor communications.
- Ability to selfregulate work and set and deliver on targets.
- Familiar with strategic and fundraising strategies.
- An understanding of the role of the Third Sector.
- Ability to work on your own initiative.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience of using digital technology.
- Proficient in MS Office and cloudbased software.
Desirable
- An understanding of the framework for additional support for learning and additional support needs in Scotland.
- Knowledge of SLC/ /disabilities/ children and family support
- A qualification in a field related to fundraising services.
Term of appointment:
as determined by performance and available funds.
Location:
Dundee/Tayside home based; some office-based work required.
Hours per week:
Variable hours 16+; possibly freelance
Salary/terms:
Negotiable - depends on skills and experience.
